Ence's mill in Pontevedra produces the energy that it consumes. It generates more than 215,000 MW h of renewable energy.

The mill currently has two backpressure turbines for lignin. The rated power of the renewable energy generation coming from biomass is 35 MW per year.

The energy facilities are integrated into the quality systems of the Pontevedra industrial complex which holds the ISO 9001 Quality and ISO 14001 Environment certifications, and has signed up to the voluntary company register of the Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS). Furthermore, it has a Prevention of Risk at Work Management System certified according to standard OHSAS 18001.
